Central Park’s iconic carousel may not be going ’round and ’round come next week, according to am NY.
The city hastily terminated the lease with the carousel’s current operator, New York One, LLC, which will stop running the ride as of Monday. The Parks Department has not yet found a replacement.
A parks spokeswoman, Cristina DeLuca, would not say why the city ended the contract but conceded it is unlikely a new concessionaire can be lined up before Tuesday.
