Firefighters made quick work of a brush fire in South Beach this evening, knocking the blaze down in about 10 minutes, according to a battalion chief at the scene, according to the Staten Island Advance
The fire was reported just after 5 p.m. in an area of brush between Capodanno Boulevard and Quintard Street. Firefighters attacked the blaze, which at one point broke off into several pockets, from both sides.
