Marine Park Brush Fire Burns 20 Acres

A brush fire spread through approximately 20-25 acres in Marine Park (Gerritsen & Gotham and Channel Aves.) yesterday evening according to an FDNY official. No injuries were reported.

The Fire Department responded to the blaze around 9:30pm. Sixty firefighters - 12 units - got it under control in 50 minutes.
