Update:
The police and Park Enforcement Patrol detained a male black in connection with a rape that allegedly occurred early this morning in Hudson River Park NYC Park Advocates has learned.
The incident occurred near Harrison/Laight Street and West Street near the skate park at approx. 5:21am. The 21-year old victim was raped, beaten and dragged into the bushes by a male black according to a law enforcement source. She was taken to Beth Israel Hospital.
The suspect was taken to the 1st Pct.
No further information is available at this time.
