Three guns were found abandoned in city parks last week, NYC Park Advocates has learned.
Park workers cleaning up Ferry Point Park in the Bronx on Monday found a holstered revolver of unknown make according to the police.
On Wednesday in Riverside Park at 125th street a park patron found a gun along the shoreline. Upon further inspection a Parks Department employee found another gun near by.
The hand-guns recovered were a Taurus 45-semi automatic, and a Smith & Wesson revolver according to the police.
They are investigating whether the firearms have been used in any crimes.
