Prospect Park Attack: Teen Assaulted & Robbed

A 16-year-old student working in a parks department internship program was attacked and robbed in Prospect Park yesterday afternoon, NYC Park Advocates has learned. 

The teen, part of Parks Department's Ranger Conservation Corps, an urban environmental internship for high school students was approached by a group of 4- 5 males and assaulted in the Prospect Park Parade Grounds at 3:50pm.

The victim sustained cuts to his head and face.

According to the police he was punched in the face and his I-Phone was removed from the pants pocket according to the complaint.   

One of the assailants said he had a gun.  NYPD and PEP canvased the area looking for the suspects.  

Police are looking for two suspects: A hispanic male 16-years old,  6 feet and 145 pounds.
and a second male,  black, also 16-years-old,  6 feet, 160 pounds.
