Homeless Woman Attacked In Queens Park

A 47-year old homeless woman was attacked this morning in Rufus King Park, NYC Park Advocates has learned.

The woman was in the park when a man possibly an emotional disturbed person grabbed her and punched her in the face.

Park Enforcement Patrol officers were flagged down and saw the woman in distress.     

"She was crying and bleeding from her mouth," said a law enforcement source.

The victim was transported to Queens General Hospital with injuries to her mouth and left knee.

The incident occurred at 7:00am in the park near 150th & Jamaica Avenue within the confines of the 103rd Pct. 

The man is known in the park.

The assailant is described as a black male, clean cut, medium build approximately 47-years-old wearing a white shirt, blue jean black shoes.

NYPD canvassed the area with negative results.

  1. That is a shame! "He is known in the park" and yet he is still terrorizing people. There are always plenty of cops patrolling the area, why aren't they locking these sociopaths up? The next time they might actually take someone's life. Then it will be another murderer on the loose. Lock these folks up! Police need to do their jobs.
