Two people were shot and a third injured last night at Devoe Park in the University Heights section of the Bronx. A Walk In The Park has learned that one of the victims was 17 -year old Edwin Liz. A source says the shooting may possibly be gang related.
At the time of the incident no Parks Enforcement Officers (PEP) were available for patrol in the Bronx. The Borough had no coverage after 7:00pm. - Geoffrey Croft
Police say two people are dead and one is injured after a tripe shooting in the Bronx Thursday night, according to WPIX News.
Cops arrived at near the vicinity of West Fordham Road and University Avenue at Devoe Park just before 8 p.m.
Officers discovered three Hispanic men suffering gunshot wounds and EMS transported all the victims to St. Barnabas Hopsital.
Upon arrival, the two younger vicitms -- a 17-year-old and 22-year-old -- who were shot in the torso were declared dead.
The third victim, a 40-year-old, was shot in the leg and is listed in stable condition.
The names of the victims are pending proper family notification.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
