Suspect wanted for sexually assaulting a woman in Inwood Hill Park Friday night. (Skectch Courtesy of the NYPD) The 28-year-old victim was raped Friday night near the Dyckman Fields inside the park. Police released these details on Sunday afternoon.
The New York City Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating the following suspect who is wanted in connection with a sexual assault that occurred within the confines of the 34th Precinct. The details are as follows:
Manhattan
On Friday June 10, 2011 at approximately 2040 hours in the confines of the 34 Precinct, a F/H/28 was Sexually Assaulted inside of Inwood Park. The victim was walking in the vicinity of the ball fields near Dyckman Avenue and the Henry Hudson Parkway when she was approached by a M/H/30's who began a conversation. The suspect then forced the victim into a secluded area of the park where he sexually assaulted her before fleeing on a red mountain bike. The victim notified authorities; she was taken to an area Hospital where she was treated and later released.
The suspect is described as a M/H/30-35, 5'7" to 5'9" tall, 170 to 180 lbs. He had no shirt on but was wearing a bluish adornment around his neck and was wearing khaki shorts.
