A 38-year-old Manhattan resident was robbed and beaten last night at 8:35 p.m. as he walked along the West Drive between 86th and 87th Street (above) while wearing headphones.

For the second time in less than a month a park patron was attacked and robbed by an assailant wearing a ski-mask.
Last night at 38-year-old man was robbed and beaten as he walked alone in Central Park.
The victim, a male Hispanic, was walking inside the park on the West Drive between 86th and 87th Street at 8:35 p.m. when he was approached from behind by two masked men.
One man punched him on the right side of the face, knocking him to the ground.
The assailants kicked the victim several times, and then pulled out knives and demanded his wallet.
The victim didn't have a wallet. The criminals instead took his I phone and headphones and then fled on the Bridal Path heading East.
The victim was treated at Mount Sinai Hospital.
The criminals are believed to be male blacks, 20's, one, 6-foot and the other 5-foot-8 wearing dark colored ski masks.
Last month a 24-year-old pregnant woman was viciously attacked by a ski-mask wearing man in Canarsie Park in Brooklyn.
According to the New York Penal Law 240.35(4), it is also illegal to gather in public with two or more people while each wearing a mask or any face covering which disguises your identity.
