A 42-year-old female was walking her small dog by the tennis courts near W. 95th Street at approximately 9:00 a.m.  She was looking at her I Phone when she was approached by a teen. He hit her in the face and stole her phone.

The suspect fled north towards 100th Street.

The woman sustained a bruise to her face according to a law enforcement source.

The assailant was described as black, 6 feet tall, between 13- 15 -years-old, slim and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

NYPD were also attempting to track the phone.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.

This incident comes five days after another teen reportedly groped a female jogger a few blocks north in the park.
