Firefighters responding to a park fire in Queens Saturday discovered a dead body, according to WABC News.
They arrived on the scene following a 911 call of a rubbish fire along the southern tier of Forest Park.
The firefighters discovered that the burning trash was actually a man's body that had been set on fire.The body was found just north of Park Lane South and 86th Street in the Woodhaven section of Queens.
EMS responded and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is still no word on the man's identity or the cause of death. An autopsy will be performed on Sunday.
Investigators spent the day searching the woods for clues.Sources tell Eyewitness News an accelerant may have been used to set the fire.
