NYPD investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who died of a heart attack while swimming at Orchard Beach on the Fourth of July.
The man, thought to be in his 50s, was swimming at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday when he went into cardiac arrest, officials said.
Lifeguards performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead at Jacobi Hospital at 2:35 p.m.
Cops, park-enforcement officers and lifeguards combed the beach after closing hours but reported finding no hint of the man’s identity.
