Artificial Turf - Central Park East Community Playground. E. 106th St & Park Avenue in in East Harlem. July 6, 2010. Besides producing temperatures of over 160 degrees, the field which opened in September 2008, is already showing signs of deterioration in numerous locations. The field was a partnership between the Trust For Public Land, Department of Education and the School Construction Authority.
