On the same day a jogger was attacked inside Riverside Park, police now say another woman was attacked there only minutes later, according to MYFOXNY

According to police, a 48-year-old woman was walking her dog on Monday, July 5, when she was repeatedly hit in the head from behind. She was also kicked in the chest and stomach.

The violent attack happened at around 6:20 a.m. at West 98th Street and Riverside Drive.

Police describe the attacker as a male, black in his 20s, 5'8" tall, thin build with black hair.  He was wearing blue shorts with blue and white boxer underwear.

Approximately 20 minutes earlier and about 20 blocks away, police said a 19-year-old female Barnard student jogging near tennis courts in the park suffered a broken cheekbone and cuts to her face after someone slammed her against a wall. She is recovering, police said.

Investigators are looking for two assailants.
