A Queens man has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident that left a 76-year-old man dead, cops said, according to the New York Post.
Shiwoo Lee, 22, of Queens, was driving his 2007 Toyota Rav 4 south on 164th Street near Booth Memorial Avenue when he jumped the curb and hit Vito Florio around 7:45 a.m., police said. The victim was thrown into a wooded area of Kissena Park, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The out-of-control driver stopped, then jumped out of the SUV and ran south on 164th Street, cops said. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
