A soccer game in Prospect Park turned violent yesterday when a player was stabbed, NYC Park Advocates has learned.

A group had been playing in soccer in the Nethermead area of the park near the Southwest corner of Centre Drive and East Drive at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday when an argument broke out.

Police say Duanne Alleune, 37 of Pacific Street in Brooklyn stabbed a 33-year-old black male one time in the lower back.

The victim told police he was trying to break up a fight between an acquaintance and Alleune when he was stabbed.

Police arrested Allenue at the scene. He was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening stab wound.
