Suspect Wanted In Attempted Rape Of Teen In Queens Park



Attacker Sought in Rape Attempt at Queens Park

Police released a sketch of a man they say attempted to rape a 17-year-old girl in Peck Park on August 21st. The park is located at Underhill Avenue & 189th Street in Queens.  The suspect knocked the victim to the ground before the teen was able to kick the suspect in the chest and get away according to police. Police said the victim only recently came forward to report the rape attempt.

Police are looking for a suspect wanted in a brazen attack on a teen in Queens.

The suspect tried to rape a 17-year-old girl inside Peck Park in the Auburndale section on Aug. 21 around 10:30 p.m. the NYPD said, according to CBS.

The suspect approached the victim and knocked her to the ground before the teen was able to kick the suspect in the chest and get away.

The suspect is described as a white man,  between 40 and 50 years old,  5-foot-11 and 225 pounds. He spoke with an Eastern European accent,  police said. Authorities also released a sketch of the suspect late Monday night.
