Woman Slashed In Central Park In Front Of Child - Woman Robbed In Separate Incident

A 30-year old hispanic woman was slashed by her common law husband in front of their 4-year-old boy, NYC Park Advocates has learned. 

The child was covered in blood said a witness.

The incident happened at the Great Hill in Central Park near  W. 103rd Street at 11:00am.

The man then slashed his own wrists.

"His forearms were all bloody," said another witness.

The man was apprehented by police. Officers sustained minor injuries while subduing the    assailant.  

They are both being treated at St. Luke's hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  

The police took the child away.

At the same time woman was robbed of her computer on the east side of the park at 72nd Street.
