Police Release Photos Of Suspect Wanted In Attempted Rape of Boy, 11, In Bronx Park

The would be rapist was captured on video with his arm around the 11-year-old boy walking him to Bronx Park.  The attacker claimed he had a knife. The suspect was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, white and blue sneakers and blue jeans according to police.

Police released surveillance photos on Saturday of the suspect wanted in Tuesday's attempted rape of an 11-year-old boy in Bronx Park on Tuesday.

The boy was walking on Magenta Street when a man came from behind, put the child in a headlock and said, "do you have any money? Follow me, I have a knife," according to police.  

He walked the child three blocks to Bronx Park. He pulled him into the park, across a field and under a tree  where he proceeded to punch the boy in the face several times after the boy had to money.

The attacker told him to lie face down in the grass where he pulled the victim's pants off and mounted him from behind.

The child struggeld get the man off him, causing the attacker to fall back and hit his head on the tree. 

Police are asking the public’s help to identify and locate the suspect. 

He is described as light skinned, between 17 and 19-years old, 5-ft-8 to 5-10 tall,  with a thin build and braces on his teeth. He was wearing a blue hoodie, white-and-blue sneakers and blue jeans.

Police arrested a 27-year-old Bronx parolee wanted in Monday’s savage attack of a 15-year-old in a Bronx park.

Shaun Lewis was working at his truck unloading job in Garden City Long Island last night around 8:00pm when he was picked up by police. 

Lewis was arrested for Assault, Attempted Rape, Strangulation, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Forcible Touching according to officials.

He has been arrested at least two times for robbery and was on parole until 2018.

Lewis lives less than a mile away from the park on Lurting Avenue.

The suspect was arrested in connection to the vicious beating and sexual assault of a fifteen-year-old high school student who had recently run away.

She was returning home early Monday morning from a friend's house in Staten Island when police believe she met the suspect on the subway. They got off at Gun Hill Road and White Plains Road two stops away from her house. 

They walked together to the corner of Bronx Boulevard and East 213 Street, outside Shoelace Park, a part of Bronx Park.  Once there he punched her in the face and punched her in the groin area and dragged her into the park.  

The victim sustained severe facial and head injuries including a fractured jaw, missing teeth, bruising near her eyes and scratches on her thigh.  During the assault, the attacker choked her causing her to loose consciousness at least three times.

The victim told police she was sexually assaulted.  

After the assault, the victim forced her into the Bronx River.  She woke up wet and with no pants.  She emerged on the other side of the park and staggered along the Bronx River Parkway to Gun Hill Road where a good Samaritan helped her.

This arrow section of Bronx Park runs from 211th Street to 231st Street along the Bronx River.  

Violent crime in parks continuous to soar rising twenty-five percent over the last year.  

  

The de Blasio administration continues to assert that park crime is, “rare.”

New details have emerged in the brutal attack of a fifteen year-old girl yesterday morning in Bronx Park.

The victim exited the train several stations north of the subway stop closest to her home.

She could not explain to police how she ended up at the Gun Hill Road/White Plains Road train station.

Her memory is hazy but she said she first encountered the attacker outside the subway station at  Gun Hill Road and White Plains Road.

They walked together to the corner of Bronx Boulevard and East 213 Street, outside a section of Bronx Park.  Once there he punched her in the face and punched her in the groin area and dragged her into the nearby park.

The victim sustained severe facial and head injuries including a fractured jaw, missing teeth, bruising near her eyes and scratches on her thigh.

During the assault, the attacker choked her causing her to loose consciousness at least three times.

The victim told police she was sexually assaulted.  After the assault, the victim forced her into the Bronx River.

She woke up wet and with no pants.  She emerged on the other side of the park and staggered along the Bronx River Parkway to Gun Hill Road where she was discovered by a passer-by who helped her.

Inside the park police found two black sneakers, a purple and pink bandanna and a cell phone all belonging to the victim.

Police also found a used Magnum brand condom wrapper.  Two beer bottles and a chewing gum wrapper were also recovered as evidence.

A 15-year-old girl was found brutally beaten with extensive physical injuries in a Bronx park early this morning, NYC Park has learned. 

The high school student was returning from a friends house in Staten Island at approximately 4:20 am when she was accosted after getting off the No. 2 train.  She was dragged to a section of Bronx Park, at 213th Street and Bronx Blvd a few feet from the Bronx River where she was severely beaten.

Police say she was in and out of consciousness during the attack. 

The assailant "stomped on her head," broke her pelvis and knocked out several teeth according to police. 

Several hours after the attack the victim woke near the river and walked a bloack and a half to Gun Hill Road where a passer-by found her about 9:30 and took her to Montiofiore Hospital where doctors contacted police. 

Her head injuries are extensive and have caused memory loss, causing her to have trouble recollecting the traumatic events.

Police believe she fought back her attacker.

Bronx Special Victims Squad are investigating if she was sexually assaulted. 

At one point during the attack she woke up and saw a dark skinned man over her with his penis exposed according to a law enforcement source. 

She was "assaulted very dramatically," said Robert Boyce, Chief of Detectives said earlier today.

The attacker may have left her for dead a police source said.

Ex-Boyfriend Arrested In Bronx Park Stabbing Death

The ex-boyfriend  of the 22-year-old woman found brutally murdered in a Bronx park early yesterday morning has been charged. 

The lifeless body of Jasmine Gonzalez, 22, was discovered early yesterday after police received a call. The body of Gonzalez, who lived nearby, was found in Bronx Park near 226th Street &  Bronx Blvd with multiple stab wounds to her torso.  She was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Khiry'Amir Borden, 25,  the father of the their two-year-son called the police shorty before 6am to report that he found her body, but police said the story did not add up.

Police found a backpack full of bloody clothing at Borden's house which he tried to hide. 

He was arrested last night and charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

A 22 year-old female was found dead with multiple stab wounds, according to the police.

The body was found this morning around 6am in Bronx Park near 226th Street &  Bronx Blvd. 

The victim was stabbed in the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman's ex-boyfriend is being questioned.

The investigation is on going.

22-Year-Old Man Raped At Gunpoint In Bronx Playground

A 22-year-old male reported being raped by gunpoint in French Charley's Playground in Bronx Park on Monday Night. Police apprehended the assailant.

A rapist was arrested after forcing his victim to have sex at gunpoint in a West Farms park, cops said, according to the New York Post.

Pedro Roman, 43, approached the 22-year-old victim at 7:15 p.m. Monday and forced the man to accompany him to French Charley Park, cops said.

Two officers on patrol saw Roman and the victim struggling, at which time the victim said he had been raped, cops added.

Roman was collared at the scene.

Man Murdered In Rosewood Playground - Shot Twice

Bronx

A male black was murdered in a Bronx playground on Sunday night. The victim was shot once in the head and once in the chest in Rosewood Playground in Bronx Park at approximately

7:23 p.m. according to police. The victim died at the scene.

According to the New York Post the incident happened when a fight broke out after a barbecue in Rosewood Playground.

No arrests have been made.

The NYPD were unable ID the victim and no other information was available at this time.
